Apple Dumplings
  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 ounces Mountain Dew
  • Cinnamon
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Butter a 9x13 inch pan.
  1. Peel and core the apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices.
  2. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll, and place in the buttered pan.
Syrup (the good stuff!)
  1. Melt the butter, and then add the sugar; stir slightly – just to moisten all the sugar.
  2. Add the vanilla, stir, and pour over the dumplings.
  3. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauce from the pan over the top!
