Peach Cobbler
 
Ingredients
Filling
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 cups sliced fresh peaches
Topping
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup cold butter or margarine
  • 1 whole egg, beaten
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, combine sugar, flour and nutmeg. Add peaches; stir to coat.
  2. Pour into a greased 11 x 7 x 2 baking pan.
To make the topping:
  1. Combine the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt; cut in the butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
  2. Stir in egg and spoon over peaches.
  3. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden.
